Europe offers a high academic standard across the continent for courses in Politics and Political Science, with HEIs and universities in several European countries ranked amongst the world’s best. Germany’s Freie Universitat Berlin, Hungary’s Central European University, Denmark’s University of Copenhagen,  the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Trinity College Dublin in Ireland, the UK’s University College London, Univeristy of Essex, and the University of Edinburgh, and Germany’s Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin - all make the QS World University Rankings 2016 Top 50. EHEVF 2016 participant Sciences PO takes its place amongst the elite for this subject placing 4th in the same Global rankings, behind only Harvard, Oxford and the LSE. Meanwhile, fellow EHEVF 2016 participant Leiden University in the Netherlands, ranks an impressive 25th. It's well respected Faculty of Social and Behavioural Science offers several 1 year, English-taught Masters programmes including an MSc in Political Science, MSc in Political Science and International Organisations, MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy, and an MSC in Political Science and Public Administration. In Denmark, Aarhus University, which will also participate in EHEVF 2016, makes the QS 2016 Top 100 and offers both undergraduate and graduate study in Political Science in Danish and English, including a two year MSc in Political Science and an MSc in Social Science – and the university’s Department of Political Science and Government is well known for its many internship and exchange opportunities with international organisations and companies and foreign universities around the globe. Meanwhile, the UK’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, QS 35) is a world leader in studies and research on Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East and has the largest concentration of specialist staff (400+) focusing on these specialist areas in the world. It is also very cosmopolitan – with more than half its student body made up of international students.
